We’re a working, community-supported 501(c)(3) powered by artists and supporters. From exhibitions and education to marketing and venues, volunteers make every event, program, and opportunity possible.

Open Roles & Board Support

Leadership · Governance · Administration

Join our leadership team and help guide the future of the Boulder Art Association.

  • Support or step into roles in Fundraising and Public Relations (Board positions with a vote).
  • Assist the Secretary with meeting minutes, organizing files, and communications.
  • Attend Board meetings when needed, share ideas, and help keep BAA relevant & thriving.

Education Committee

Help us create inspiring learning experiences for artists at every level.

  • Identify and coordinate presenters for monthly member meetings.
  • Support setup: materials, projector, seating, welcoming guests.
  • Assist with summer art events, field trips, demos, and workshops.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team that values fresh ideas.

Exhibition Committee

Shows · Installations · Experiences

Shape the exhibitions that showcase BAA artists across Boulder.

  • Help research venues, dates, and exhibit concepts.
  • Assist with prospectus details, checklists, and volunteer needs.
  • Design or distribute posters and signage; support install & takedown.
  • Welcome visitors, answer questions, and document what works for future shows.

Marketing, Social & Venues

Storytelling · Outreach · Community

Help us tell BAA’s story and connect artists with spaces to show their work.

  • Create or schedule content for web, Mailchimp, Facebook, Instagram & more.
  • Assist with calls for art, announcements, and show promotions.
  • Serve as a Venue Lead: liaise with cafes, galleries & businesses hosting member art.
  • Explore sponsors and partners who believe in the arts.
