The art of Frances Joy Bradbury is a reflection of her appreciation of paradox, as well as a love of experimentation, gestural line and texture. All these elements can be seen throughout the artist’s shapeshifting eclectic images. A self taught artist who derives inspiration from a wide range of life experiences, Joy, as she is called, has been involved in the expressive arts since 1960. Her first exhibition opened at the Taos Library in New Mexico. Since then, Joy has exhibited at Denver Outsider Art, Fort Collins Center for Fine Art Photography, Front Range Community College, Dairy Arts Center and Boulder Public Library Maker Made Shows.Even though Joy enjoys art making and showing her work, Joy’s real passion is designing and collaborating in art-centered activities.
