I create oil paintings, collages, and cut paper illustrations depicting subjects that are designed to delight and comfort the viewer. Scenes include cozy pets, quiet still-life scenes, landscapes with trails leading to intriguing places, and humanlike flower characters in various settings. Inspired by illustrations in children’s picture books and the book projects I manage in my day job as a production editor, my artworks illustrate ways the animals, locations, and even objects that surround us pacify and heal us.
