I was born in Montmartre in the late 1940s. At that time, painters were setting their easels at many street corners in the neighborhood. These were Sunday painters or « peintres du dimanche ». I am a spare time artist with inconsistent style, subjects matters or media. I tend to favor oil on board or walnut ink on paper. With the exception of basic formation at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, I am self taught. I prefer Degas to Monet, Rothko to Pollock and Toulouse Lautrec to Renoir. I have been a member of local artist groups for the last 18 years and have learned a lot from my fellow members.
