I explore the relationship between energy and form, light and color, movement and stillness in my paintings. I’m inspired by the beauty of nature, the cycles of creation, and the mystery of consciousness. My work weaves visual, emotional, narrative, and archetypal elements to invite a deep sense of connection with self, body, the natural world, and the cosmos.
I paint by feel and intuition, using my inner vision as a guide. At times I work with my eyes closed or with my nondominant hand so I can be surprised by what appears. I love the creative tension between the known and the unknown, the seen and unseen, the physical and nonphysical. Birds often appear as symbols of moving between worlds, along with stars, moons, trees, flowers, hearts, and eyes that invite the viewer to look closely and perceive more fully.
