Deborah Cavanagh is an abstract expressionistic artist who is inspired by the sensuality, emotion, exuberance & tranquility found as elements of land, wind, water and light collide. Her landscape paintings are lyrical, juxtaposing bold colors and seductive shapes to capture the energy, emotion and poetry that exists within the natural world.
Working in acrylics, she uses a layering technique to produce velvety textures that both reflect and absorb natural light to bring an ever-changing experience to the viewer. She draws on her experiences traveling the world, interpreting those fleeting discoveries and precious moments in a way that words or photos cannot.
She believes that art is one of the most powerful, personal elements that one can bring into a home – not simply transforming a space, but rather magnifying it — giving it a rare personal flavor & style.
