Bryan McKinney is a Boulder-based artist who recently relocated to Colorado after spending the past 20 years living and working on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
His work is inspired by the landscapes, wildlife, and human stories that define a sense of place. Working in watercolor, gouache, oil, and mixed media, he combines a background in illustration, mural painting, graphic design, and art education with a love of observation and craftsmanship.
From plein air landscapes to figurative and narrative works, Bryan seeks to capture moments of connection between people, nature, and the environments they call home.
