The BAA Board is happy to announce our nomination for the position of Secretary to Jeno Oneil.
Board positions are nominated by board members and association members. But, current association members (you) must vote for a nominee! We will be holding a live vote during our March 8th member meeting. If you can’t attend the meeting, are a current BAA member, and would still like to vote, you may email us at info@boulderartassociation.org

My art is inspired by travel and the openness of exploration. I’m driven by texture and I apply an array of gessos and mediums on the canvas to create a sense of drama before applying layers of color, shapes, and lines. Nature’s palate and hues are most inspiring to me – grey limestone, flecked with green, yellow, or black moss. Bright flowers accent the browns, yellows, and greens of the landscape. Especially the rust-colored red rocks of Colorado, Boulder, and the West, where I hail from and still call home.
Having focused my life’s energy on travel and a career in technology, I’m just beginning a new journey in painting and learning how to express my creativity. My go-to medium is Cold Wax Medium and Oil but I enjoy the fast pace of Acrylics and have just started figuring out how to incorporate stone, chain, leather, and other textiles into my paintings. I am generally self-taught, learning from and training with artists who take the time to share their vision in books, online classes, and onsite workshops. I take an experimental approach to abstract art, feeling first, engaging in Play with the canvas and medium, before applying a rigorous editing and refining process to achieve a final painting.
I enjoy exploring how art can illuminate the changes that technology and the digitization of the human experience have led to new cultural emotions and struggles but also how these experiences can propel humanity into a future version of self. Above all, I enjoy expressing a vision of hope, entangled with the complex and dangerous affair that is life.
