BAA has a monthly members meeting the first Tuesday of the month, except in July and August. The meetings starts at 7pm, Socializing at 6:30pm at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 3700 Baseline, Boulder.
The June 2013 meeting will be on Tuesday, June 4. After the business, announcements and minishow there will be two talks, a brief talk by Barry Gillespie on how to fill out the Dairy Show Application there will be a talk by Suzanne Frazier, Promoting Your Artwork Without Being There.
Whether you are a recreational artist or aspiring to become a professional artist, Suzanne Frazier will offer some tips on how to communicate with people who admire your work. She will share marketing techniques that will help you create an efficient way to share your love of creating and your work. And, you don’t have to be standing beside your work to give out this information.
For people who would like to take the next step in their artistic career and promote their work, Suzanne will share marketing secrets and will give you a check list for promoting your artwork.
Suzanne Frazier has been a marketing professional since the 1972, working at KHOW Radio as the station’s Promotions Manager and then as a Promotions Consultant for Frontier Airlines. In 1982, she opened her own promotions company, specializing in start-up airlines at the Denver Airport. In 1986, she returned to college at the University of Colorado at Boulder to receive a BFA Degree in Studio Arts. She has been a working artist since 1989, teaching weekly art classes, art workshops and spiritual journey retreats. She moved to Longmont in 2008, where she has a storefront studio in Prospect. She participates in the East Boulder County, Prospect Artists and Longmont Studio Tours.
The BAA publishes a monthly newsletter to keep its members informed of all activities including meetings, shows, and workshops, as well as activities sponsored by other local, regional, and national art organizations.
