The Boulder Art Association holds monthly meetings for members and friends. Meetings include networking, a short business meeting, and an arts related presentation.

Tuesday, June 6th, we’re pleased to have the BAA’s 2016 Juried Show winner, Susan Schmitt, doing a talk and demonstration about her ‘Quilted Women’ paintings. The meeting is FREE and open to the public!

  • Networking and Short Business Meeting 6:00 – 6:30 pm
    This month’s meeting will include a member vote on the Board’s nominee for Vice President.

  • Presentations 6:30 – 7:50 pm (the library closes at 8:00)

All are welcome! Come, bring a friend. Drinks and light snacks will be provided, but feel free to contribute drinks or snacks on occasion.


Susan Schmitt will join the Boulder Art Association Tuesday, June 6th, to discuss her ‘Quilted Women’ acrylic paintings.  Schmitt’s painting, Love is the Answer, was chosen as Best of Show winner in the Boulder Art Association‘s 2016 Annual Juried Exhibition.

The artist will talk about the meaning behind her paintings and the process for creating them. This will include composition, stamp carving, and application.  She will also show a live demonstration of her technique!

Potluck-style refreshments will be provided – but feel free to contribute drinks or snacks on occasion to share!

There’s plenty of parking in the parking lot in front of this side of the library. The first 90 minutes of parking are free and there are no charges past 7 pm. An additional 90 minutes may be purchased for $1.25/hour. Kiosks accept credit cards and coins. See map and parking rates here.
