The Boulder Art Association is hosting a juried art exhibition and sale Thursday, November 3rd through Sunday, November 6th. The event is FREE and open to the public and will be held in the expansive gallery space in the beautiful Hyatt Place Hotel in Boulder, Colorado. The Hyatt Place is located in Boulder’s new commercial district at the crossroads of Pearl and 30th Streets.
Osmosis Gallery in Niwot will be featuring On the Plaza, an exhibition of oil paintings by local artist Mike Brouse, through the month of July.
Janelle Iglesias, the first artist-in-residence at CU-Boulder’s art museum, composed an installation in collaboration with students and faculty, using items from campus collections. Titled Even a Simple Call Can Turn Into a Complex Racket, the result calls to mind Renaissance cabinets of curiosity, updated with industrial shelving and works by Sol LeWitt, Joseph Beuys, and Andy Warhol.
The installation remains on display until July 9, 2016. The CU Art Museum, on the campus of CU-Boulder, is open from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and stays open until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Several Boulder Art Association members along with other local artists will show their art at the Art at the Center art exhibition at the Nederland Community Center in Nederland, CO. The open reception is Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 4:30 to 7:00 pm including interactive art demonstrations featuring acrylic painting, cell phone photography and ink printing with stamps. The show runs through the September 17, 2016.

You’re invited to view BAA Member Lori Mattina‘s acrylic painting series Abstract Botanicals. Lori’s work will be exhibited at the Vic’s coffee house in North Boulder throughout the entire month of June.
On view at the Denver Art Museum through June 5, 2016 is the exhibition Samurai: Armor from the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Collection.
Surrounded by murals and war regalia, You will be immersed in the life, culture, and pageantry of samurai in the 1100s through the 1800s. Exquisitely decorated suits of armor, helmets, weapons, horse trappings, and additional battle gear are on display, demonstrating masterful craftsmanship. Samurai highlights the artistic inspiration for these elaborate suits of armor.
Come meet the artists of the Firehouse Art Center‘s newest exhibition: FORM. The Firehouse is hosting a reception for the artists of its current exhibition, FORM – as well as open studio tours – as part of Downtown Longmont’s 2nd Fridays – May 13th from 6 – 9 PM.
The Dairy Arts Center presents a juried group exhibition called CROSSING BORDERS that explores the immigration experience from a variety of viewpoints and art mediums. Each piece tells a unique story about the artist’s experience of immigrating to a new place, the immigration story of the artist’s family or friends, and/or a discussion about contemporary issues related to immigration. The exhibit is on view Friday, May 6 – Friday, May 27, 2016.
