We hold monthly meetings for members and friends of the Boulder Art Association. Meetings include networking, a short business meeting followed by an arts related presentation. In April we’re pleased to have world-class artist Randy Hale doing a watercolor demonstration. The meeting is free and open to the public!
The March Member Meeting was moved because of a conflict with the Boulder Precinct Caucus this month. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We heard from several members requesting a date change.
For over 50 years the NCAR Community Art Program has presented art exhibitions by a range of regional artists at the NCAR Mesa Laboratory in Boulder, CO. Many of the artist featured in these art exhibitions are Boulder Art Association members including Betsy Cole, Xenia Sease and Diane Wood.
The exhibit space is in the expansive cafeteria within the NCAR laboratory building and is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
We will review the jury process for the NCAR Community Art Program which occurs each spring for shows running from June through May of the following year.
The 2016 deadline for submitting artwork is April 11, 2016.

We hope you and your family can join us on Sunday, December 6th for the annual Boulder Art Association Holiday Party and White Elephant Gift Exchange.
Wine and Martinelli’s sparkling juice will be provided by the Boulder Art Association, but please bring a snack or dessert to share with the group!
For those of you who couldn’t participate last year, here’s how the white elephant gift exchange works. Each participant brings one wrapped gift. Gifts can be any inexpensive or humorous items for the home or office and can be new or used.
The gifts are placed in a central location, and participants determine in what order they will take turns selecting them. The first person selects a wrapped gift and opens it. On subsequent turns, each person can either open a new gift or “steal” another person’s unwrapped gift. When a person’s gift is stolen, that person can either choose another wrapped gift to open or can steal from another player. The game is over the last person goes and the first person goes again (the final steal).
We hope you can join us at out fun and exciting end of year holiday party!
