This new resource is part of The Maker Movement at Boulder Public Library. The maker culture emphasizes learning-through-doing in a social environment. We hope you and your family can join us on Sunday, December 6th for the annual Boulder Art Association Holiday Party and White Elephant Gift Exchange.
Wine and Martinelli’s sparkling juice will be provided by the Boulder Art Association, but please bring a snack or dessert to share with the group!
For those of you who couldn’t participate last year, here’s how the white elephant gift exchange works. Each participant brings one wrapped gift. Gifts can be any inexpensive or humorous items for the home or office and can be new or used.
The gifts are placed in a central location, and participants determine in what order they will take turns selecting them. The first person selects a wrapped gift and opens it. On subsequent turns, each person can either open a new gift or “steal” another person’s unwrapped gift. When a person’s gift is stolen, that person can either choose another wrapped gift to open or can steal from another player. The game is over the last person goes and the first person goes again (the final steal).
We hope you can join us at out fun and exciting end of year holiday party!
