BMoCA Opening Reception and Summer Kickoff Party

Thursday, June 23, BMoCA is holding a summer kickoff party to celebrate the opening of its two newest exhibitions: Finishing School: BLISS and DESIGNxBOULDER: Inspiring Community through Art

There will be a member’s preview at 5:30 PM, followed by a FREE public reception from 6:30 – 9:00 PM.

BLISS (n.)

1. Complete happiness.
2. Philosophy. A place of perfect peace
3. U.S. Military Acronym. BLISS stands for Blend in, keep a Low silhouette, build an Irregular shape, stay Small, find a Secluded location.
4. A social engagement project conceived for BMoCA by the California-based artist collective Finishing School that explores the semiotics of surveillance, power, and play.

DESIGNxBOULDER: Inspiring Community through Art

Natalie Jeremijenko is internationally recognized for combining art, engineering, neuroscience, and biochemistry to create projects that inspire local communities to think about environmental health and sustainable living. DESIGNXBOULDER: Inspiring Community through Art is a three-part project lead by Jeremijenko that includes Xhibition, TREEXOFFICE & FARMACY: AgBag Flower Fa├žade.
